SeaFilter™
SeaFilter™ is a highly specialized system designed for shipboard use to separate oil from water during skimming operations in open bodies of water. The modular system provides for effective separation of free and emulsified oil concentrations from seawater using patented aeration and pressurization technology and approved chemistry built by engineers at US Centrifuge Systems.

Seafilter™ is a custom engineered and highly specialized system designed for shipboard use to separate oil from water with skimming operations in open bodies of water.
Free and emulsified oil concentrations are effectively separated from seawater utilizing a patented split flow aeration and pressurization technology along with an environmentally safe EPA and OSHA approved de-emulsifying coagulating chemistry (GOS-95905).
Water is skimmed and pumped into a cyclonic feed surge tank where free oils naturally separate and are skimmed off the surface. The remaining emulsified oil-water mix then enters the chemical mixing header where coagulant is injected along with a dissolved air stream. The chemically treated and aerated liquid stream feeds into the tubular flotation cells in parallel where the separated oil phase is carried to the surface on a bed of micro-bubbles.
The oil layer accumulates and discharges over a weir and down a trough and into the oil sludge collection tank where it will be pumped off the barge into a container vessel. The clean and heavily oxygenated water overflows into an adjustable weir box and is then reintroduced into the waterway.
The system is ruggedly constructed and designed for easy operation and minimal maintenance with few moving parts.
