Home US Centrifuge Systems Expands Range of Centrifugal Separation Equipment for a Variety of Renewable Energy and Alternative Fuel Applications Including Bio Diesel, Ethanol, and Algae Processing
We have a full range of CQ decanter centrifuges for whole stillage dewatering applications up to 350-gpm. For corn dry milling plants, expected performance is 80-85% recovery of suspended solids with 32-35% dry cake, depending on feed temperature and whole stillage concentration. Normally for wheat, barley and other grains, we can expect the same performance with reduced machine capacity. Our experience includes ethanol plant projects from 15-MMGY up to 125-MMGY.
Automatic, high torque, hydraulic scroll backdrive system, which maximizes process flexibility and optimizes machine performance, verses a standard gearbox design. Replaceable feed zone and solids discharge wear liners for easy servicing on site. Unique dual angle conical section for maximum performance and increased scroll life. High tensile strength Duplex Stainless Steel rotating assembly and Low power consumption. For more equipment information please read about continuous solids discharging horizontal centrifuges. Algae Separation with Centrifuge As shown in the photos below oil-rich algae can be extracted from a variety of algae bioreactors, ponds, or waste processing systems using a centrifuge to separate and dewater the algea for various purposes, including biodiesel production. The production of algae to harvest oil for biodiesel has not yet been undertaken on a commercial scale, but feasibility studies are being conducted. Companies such as Live Fuels in Menlo Park, California have purchased Model M212 centrifuges for algae separation. ![]() ![]()
US Centrifuge Systems Offers Centrifugal Technology for Clarifying Raw and Waste Vegetable Oils for Large and Small Volume Bio-diesel Producers
These centrifuges are also ideally suited for the separation and removal Magnesol and magnesium silicates. US Centrifuge Systems supplied separation equipment can dramatically increase biodiesel production capacity and reduce process time compared to several days generally required for settling. Centrifuges range from 5-gpm to 350-gpm with prices starting from $10,000 for a manual clean unit up to $500,000 per unit for the largest decanter centrifuge.
US Centrifuge Systems biodiesel separation equipment and systems will reduce production costs and increase productivity for a rapid return on investment for plants looking to improve production capacities. Biodiesel Production Solutions. BioDiesel Applications (403K, PDF) |
